Make a video about information and win $$$!
Wednesday, July 18th, 2007The SPARC Discovery Awards challenges you to illustrate in a short video presentation what you see as the value of sharing information. Use your imagination to suggest what good comes from bringing down barriers to the free exchange of information.
The prize is $1,000 and they suggest that it could be an interesting assignment for students.

IST 511 poster session
Monday, July 9th, 2007Students in this summer’s IST 511 (Introduction to the Library and Information Professions) will be sharing their poster sessions this summer on July 27, 2007, in the Peter Graham Scholarly Commons, on the first floor of E. S. Bird Library, at Syracuse University, from 2-4:00 p.m. Please join us for thought-provoking discussions of current library issues, and a reception for these incoming students.
